Adult Residential Specialist
Crossroads Health is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Northeast Ohio communities with comprehensive behavioral and primary integrated healthcare. They are seeking a Residential Specialist to work in their Northcoast House, providing support to residents in achieving their treatment goals through independent living skills and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities
Working on a ‘one to one’ basis with the residents by teaching independent living skills and programs
Assisting the individual in increasing social support network of relatives, friends and volunteer organizations
Works collaboratively with Community Support Treatment Workers and staff to support the progress of our clients
Providing support as needed in times of crisis and helps consumer maintain stability; as appropriate, accesses additional support in crisis intervention
Qualification
Required
High School diploma/GED required at minimum
Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000
Demonstrated ability to flex to the needs of others and can treat residents with respect
Able to lift 40 pounds
Able to ascend/descend stairs
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform duties
Able to reach, kneel, bend and twist at the waist, bend at knees, walk, crouch, see, hear, touch, grasp objects, push, pull and sit
Noise level in work environment is usually moderate
Preferred
Associate's degree in social work or related field and 2-3 years related experience or training preferred
2+ years of working with clients in a recovery capacity preferred
Experience with trauma informed care, motivational support, stage wise treatment, substance use, crisis de-escalation highly preferred
