Senior Activation Specialist | Remote (USA-based) | $90k-$110k USD + Benefits | Retail Media/e-Commerce

The Senior Activation Specialist will take ownership of the client onboarding process, ensuring new customers are fully implemented and positioned for early success through structured execution and client-facing communication.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end onboarding and trial execution for new customers, ensuring full platform setup, integration, and readiness
Define onboarding success criteria in partnership with Sales and Customer Success, guiding clients through milestone-based activation plans
Design tailored implementation approaches aligned to each client’s retail media environment, including DSP, measurement, and sponsored media components
Track onboarding progress through dashboards and reporting tools, proactively identifying risks and driving timely resolution
Create, refine, and scale repeatable onboarding frameworks that accelerate time-to-value
Own and maintain onboarding documentation, internal playbooks, SOPs, and training resources in collaboration with cross-functional partners
Partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership to improve trial-to-conversion workflows and operational efficiency
Deliver structured training sessions, walkthroughs, and enablement programs to educate clients on platform capabilities and AI-driven optimization
Translate complex retail media and ad technology concepts into practical, outcome-oriented strategies for clients
Support clients with ad account connections, data integrations, and attribution setup across Amazon Ads, DSP, and AMC environments
Diagnose and resolve onboarding, reporting, and configuration challenges in partnership with Product and Engineering teams
Maintain a strong understanding of platform architecture to identify implementation gaps and optimization opportunities
Act as the central point of coordination between Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success during onboarding
Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on real-world client implementation insights
Identify expansion or upsell signals and collaborate with Customer Success Managers to ensure a smooth transition into ongoing account ownership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred
3–6 years of experience in client onboarding, customer success, implementation, or ad tech-focused roles
Hands-on experience with retail media platforms, including Amazon Ads, DSP, and AMC
Demonstrated ability to design, document, and scale onboarding or implementation processes
Strong organizational skills with a process-driven, detail-oriented approach
Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical execution and business objectives
Experience using CRM, project management, and workflow tools such as HubSpot, ChurnZero, Jira, or Asana
