US Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for protecting waters of the United States, including wetlands and navigable waters. Responsibilities
Lead and manage regulatory projects: Oversee progressively more complex permit applications, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations
Develop and implement strategies: Assist in the creation and execution of programmatic initiatives and improving permitting processes
Serve as a liaison with stakeholders: Foster strong relationships with regulatory agencies, tribal partners, local governments, and other stakeholders to support the successful delivery of regulatory projects
Provide leadership and mentorship: Develop and mentor junior staff, as applicable, providing guidance and professional development opportunities while fostering a collaborative work environment
Manage competing priorities to evaluate projects and deliver expedited permitting decisions on executive order projects

Required
All positions require the applicant to be a citizen of the United States
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, are required to register for Selective Service prior to appointment
A trial or probationary period may be required
Direct deposit of pay is required
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time
This position may require the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position
The incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Financial Disclosure Report upon entering on duty in this position and annually thereafter
This position requires that the incumbent possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: Meeting Minimum Qualifications with Experience at GS-07: Applicants will describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service with reviewing regulatory documents or permits for completeness; or with field work or field investigations in/around water
Meeting Minimum Qualifications with Experience at GS-09: Applicants will describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service with reviewing waterway, land, or similar permitting applications; or participating in field investigations to assess the physical and environmental impact to proposed actions
Meeting Minimum Qualifications with Experience at GS-11: Applicants will describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, which includes processing regulatory permit applications for projects which would impact waters; or leading field investigations to document the physical and environmental impact of proposed actions

Minimum Experience Requirement: One year of specialized experience which includes all of the following: 1) Evaluating and reviewing complex and controversial permit applications; 2) Experience in interpreting and applying environmental regulations and policies including the Clean Water Act, the Rivers and Harbors Act, National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act and the National Historic Preservation Act. 3) Experience conducting wetland delineations, field investigations, and outreach activities
