The Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Developers to support their Intelligence Systems, Cobalt Charger team located in Herndon, Virginia. This position focuses on modernizing a legacy solution into a modern container-based microservice architecture to produce custom navigation solutions for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

Responsibilities

Develop software source code, unit tests, and documentation for assigned tasks

Participate in daily Scrum stand ups to report status and prioritize tasks

Conduct peer code reviews and checkouts to ensure code quality and consistency

Perform software design reviews and create tasking backlog

Conduct software testing and track/resolve defects

Qualification

Required

Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI

2+ years of experience working in a CI/CD development tool chain

2+ years of experience coding in either C++, Java, or JavaScript

Preferred

3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Experience with automated integration testing

Experience deploying and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes, including orchestration, scaling, and CI/CD integration

Experience integrating automated security scanning into CI/CD pipelines

Experience developing with ROS 2, including nodes, publishers/subscribers, services/actions, and DDS

Experience with Navigation algorithms
