Responsibilities
Support Platinum Cargo’s corporate sales team, agent network, and direct customers with pricing for new opportunities as well as existing trade lanes
Prepare and issue air and ocean freight spot quotations for import and export shipments
Negotiate, review, and manage carrier and vendor rate agreements across global trade lanes
Review pricing requests to ensure competitiveness while protecting margin targets
Work closely with operations teams to validate routings, transit times, and service options
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of global service offerings to help price integrated logistics solutions
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in international freight forwarding pricing and procurement
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret transportation tariffs for all modes of transport
Hazmat Certified (IATA DG preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
High attention to detail and ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and support as needed
Dependable, reliable, and willing to work flexible hours to meet customer needs
Competent math skills using units of currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and other web-based applications
Preferred
