Postdoc - Q-NEXT National Quantum Information Science and Research Center
Argonne National Laboratory is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position at the Q-NEXT National Quantum Information Science and Research Center. The role focuses on conducting research in material science for quantum information hardware, specifically involving the characterization and integration of spin qubits in semiconductor devices.

Responsibilities
SiC spin qubit and material characterization with Q-NEXT measurement capabilities
X-ray nanodiffraction at the Advanced Photon Source of industrially fabricated Si/SiGe heterostructures, with complementary cryogenic qubit measurements
Publishing results in refereed journals and make oral presentations at meetings, conferences, symposia, and seminars
Maintaining cognizance of available techniques and expertise in related research groups through interactions and collaborative efforts
Participating in creating and maintaining technical reports on experiment progress, technique development, and new initiatives to peer reviewers and Q-NEXT program managers
Qualification
Required
Completed Ph.D. within the last 0-5 years (or soon-to-be-completed) in condensed matter physics, materials science, electrical engineering, quantum science, or a related field
Experience in characterization of materials for quantum information
Experience in cryogenic quantum measurement
Experience in x-ray diffraction techniques
Experience designing and building experimental control and data acquisition systems
Ability to model Argonne's core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork
Preferred
Strong background in solid state qubit platforms is preferred
Experience with optics is advantageous but not required
