Responsibilities

Conduct and utilize market research as necessary to recommend appropriate marketing communications strategies
Develop content and oversee the design and production process for print collateral
Consult with academic and/or administrative personnel to acquire the necessary information about the subject
Confer with Institute Communications and Marketing to ensure that Institute graphic and style standards are followed in all material
Obtain cost estimates, collaborate in the selection of illustrators and printers and approve their work, as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Create original social media content and provide analytics reports across social platforms; (2) Conduct website development and maintenance

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
This job requires exposure to higher than average noise levels, handling objects up to 100 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods of time
Two to four years of job related experience
Skills in writing and communication
Creativity and ability to incorporate a variety of resources and tools to develop marketing materials
Ability to understand complex and/or highly technical ideas and programs and communicate them in lay terms
Organizational and communications skills
Use of office and specialized computer applications
Must be a US citizen for this position
Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check

Preferred

Experience creating engaging and effective social media content across platforms to increase brand awareness
Experience with WordPress websites and SEO techniques to drive traffic
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud apps (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier Pro, etc.) to design marketing collateral and edit video/photography assets
Photography and videography experience, including post-production tasks for print publications, websites, and social media platforms
