Responsibilities
Perform daily general ledger activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
Reconcile bank accounts, verify deposits, and resolve inquiries related to banking activity
Support month-end close, including preparing journal entries, accruals, account analysis, and reconciliations
Reconcile and analyze multiple general ledger accounts with proper supporting documentation
Manage indirect tax compliance across the U.S., Canada, and several European jurisdictions; prepare and file related tax returns
Conduct general cost accounting, comparing budgets to actual results; forecast, analyze, and reconcile cost structures (labor, processes, inventory)
Recommend cost-reduction and profit-improvement opportunities
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and promote cost-efficient practices across the accounting function
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA strongly preferred
7+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in manufacturing or distribution
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and manage complexity
Experience with Oracle or another enterprise ERP system required
