Responsibilities
Helps create an environment where customers have the best possible library exhibit experience
Manages daily operations of library exhibits, including training and management of exhibit volunteers
Oversees the selection, installation, and maintenance of library exhibits
Develops in house library exhibits to engage a variety of audiences and ages
Collaborates with the Community Engagement team as a subject matter expert to aid in the development of programs to work in conjunction with library exhibits
Stays up to date on current industry trends
Researches and vet new exhibits to improve visitor experience
Collaborates with the Customer Experience team to create a cohesive and inspiring visitor experience
Collaborates with community stakeholders and other city departments in an effort to cultivate library exhibit sponsorships
Perform other duties as assigned or directed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies or related field
At least 1 year of experience working in museums or libraries that host exhibits
Preferred
Bilingual skills preferred
Experience curating traveling exhibits for a wide variety of ages
Must pass a background check
Must be able to work a combination of morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours
