Responsibilities
Analyze electrical plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate cost estimates
Perform detailed takeoffs to determine material, labor, and time requirements
Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Prepare and present bid packages and cost proposals to internal leadership and clients
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and estimators on bid strategy
Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct jobsite walks as needed
Track post-project costs and actuals to continuously improve estimating accuracy
Stay current on market pricing, labor rates, and industry trends
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, industrial, or large-scale residential construction
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
Working knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, and NEC requirements
Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
Solar or EPC experience
Journeyman or Master Electrician license, or equivalent field experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
OSHA certification or familiarity with construction safety standards
