Responsibilities

Developing and revising job classification specifications, including:
Analyzing essential functions, distinguishing levels of work complexity and autonomy, and ensuring alignment with organizational standards, legal compliance, and market conditions
Performing a wide range of compensation and data analysis functions, including:
Conducting market research, updating salary structures, reviewing pay equity, forecasting and modeling, and facilitating pay adjustments
Analyzing and validating HR data for accuracy and insight
Administering and supporting classification and compensation systems and records to ensure data integrity and operational effectiveness
Researching, developing, and communicating policy and program recommendations while providing technical guidance to stakeholders
Conducting job analyses and maintaining classification specifications, ensuring essential functions, levels, and standards are accurately documented and aligned across the organization
Performing compensation analyses, including conducting market research, updating salary schedules, reviewing pay equity, forecasting and modeling, and facilitating pay adjustments
Analyzing, validating, and interpreting HR data, identifying discrepancies, producing visualizations, and preparing reports and recommendations to support decision-making
Administering and supporting classification and compensation processes and systems, including managing positions, maintaining records, ensuring data integrity, and troubleshooting HRIS issues
Researching, developing, and communicating policy, procedure, and program recommendations, providing technical guidance and consultation to stakeholders, and supporting project initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of work experience involving the administration, analysis, and/or support of classification or compensation programs, projects, and/or initiatives or two (2) years of experience performing data or business analysis which includes responsibilities such as data interpretation and visualization, data validation, organizational evaluation, modeling and forecasting, operational or market analysis, and/or analytical reporting
The required two (2) years of experience may come from any combination of the areas listed. Data or business analysis work experience may come from HR and/or non-HR roles
An equivalent combination of the education and/or experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered

Preferred

Experience revising and creating job classification specifications for a municipal or higher education employer (or similar experience demonstrating knowledge of job analysis, leveling, and structuring for a municipal or higher education employer)
One (1) year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years
