Manufacturing Engineer, Factory Design & Material Flow Engineering
Tesla Motors is a quickly growing, innovative company based in Austin, TX, designing advanced electric vehicles and stationary battery packs. They are seeking a highly-motivated engineer to implement Manufacturing Engineering and lean principles to improve processes at Gigafactory Texas.

Responsibilities
Work with manufacturing engineering and production teams to identify production constraints
Collaborate with production engineering teams to determine overall equipment effectiveness and associated improvement strategies
Perform value-stream analysis through the use of simulations
Work with the external teams designing production lines for the factory to ensure that their layouts align with the overall plan and vision for the factory
Support decision making on process layout through the use of data
Qualification
Required
Experience performing detailed analysis necessary to make data driven decisions on process layout design, production line design or warehouse design
Familiar with Discrete Event Simulation software like Flexsim and AnyLogic
Able to gain buy-in from a diverse group of stakeholders
Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Experience with MOS/MES systems is a plus
Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
Degree in Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
