Outside Sales Executive
Ascendo Resources is seeking an Outside Sales Executive to manage local and international sales in the ocean freight and shipping industry. The role involves full-cycle sales responsibilities, including lead generation and developing new business relationships primarily in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Responsibilities
Full sales cycle including lead generation, prospecting, setting meetings, pitching deals, negotiating rates, closing new business
Reporting directly to Chief Commercial Officer
Developing new business relationships in Caribbean, Central America, and South America
Schedule and participate in regular virtual/video calls with Agents, prospects, and existing clients
Outbound prospecting (cold/warm calls)
25% Travel internationally to Caribbean, Central America and/or South America
Upsell clients on additional services
Take bookings when closing new business
Follow up on rates quoted to local and overseas teams
Work closely with carriers and vendors to find the best possible price and cost solutions available to customers
Onboard new business
Qualification
Required
5 to 10+ years of ocean freight/shipping industry experience required
Strong outside sales within ocean freight/shipping industry required
Full-cycle sales experience to LATAM companies Caribbean, Central/South America
Bilingual Spanish a must
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Only local candidates based in Miami will be considered
Able to do 25% international travel (1 week per month)
Able travel to prospects in Miami/Ft Lauderdale area
