Responsibilities
Provide support to the Facilities & Operations Department through following actions:
Welding and Fabrication Experience is a MUST for this role
Perform custom MIG/TIG welding
Skillfully weld stainless various types of steel, metals and materials
Out, positions, aligns, or otherwise sets pieces in place preparatory to welding, and measures dimensions for conformance to specifications
And degreases parts to be welded using wire brushes, grinders, or solvents
Under supervision fabricates and assembles complete devices or pieces of equipment by using metal forming and cutting tools such as presses, punches, brakes, pipe benders and threaders, and drills to bend, shape, and cut parts to be welded and bolted, screwed, or riveted together
Competently read blue prints and drawings for fabrication of designs
Make repairs to tooling, equipment and parts
Processing of improvements of current equipment and designs
Forklift and Overhead Crane operations
Drive company vehicles as required
Paint materials
Prepare fabricated designs and materials for shipment to plants
Communicate needs for parts, equipment and upcoming orders
Other tasks as requested
Qualification
Required

Effectively and efficiently perform all responsibilities and tasks safely and responsibly
Technical School Degree in Welding. Will consider an individual with equivalent experience/testing
Five years or more years welding and fabrication or equivalent
Demonstrated mechanical ability
Welding and Shop Safety knowledge
Welding blueprint reading and comprehension
Ability to read and comprehend material in English
Ability to effectively communicate in English with Facilities & Operations Department and other company employees and vendors/suppliers to share information and solve problems
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals as required on the blue prints and engineering notes
Able to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
Able to comprehend blue prints and drawings
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects to perform job activities
The employee is frequently required to reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear
The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and use foot/feet to operate machine
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
