Vice President of Finance

Responsibilities

Act as the strategic finance partner to the CEO, COO, and Board, providing insight into business performance, capital efficiency, and long-term financial planning
Own and evolve FP&A, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial planning to support growth and decision-making
Lead and oversee accounting operations, working closely with an outsourced accounting firm to ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with GAAP
Build scalable financial processes, controls, and systems to support a growing B2B2C fintech business
Prepare and deliver clear, actionable financial reporting for executive leadership and the Board, with a focus on transparency and predictability
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Commercial, Client Success, People, and Legal teams to align financial planning with company priorities
Support go-to-market efforts through pricing analysis, renewals, revenue forecasting, and unit economics
Manage tax, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with external partners
Contribute to capital planning, investor communications, and future fundraising preparation as needed
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility, and financial rigor as the company scales
Help define the roadmap for building an internal finance team over time, while remaining deeply involved in execution

Required

10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles in high-growth SaaS, fintech, or technology-enabled businesses
Proven experience building and operating finance functions in Series A+ or growth-stage startups
Strong background in FP&A, accounting oversight, and financial operations, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution
Deep understanding of GAAP, audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Experience partnering closely with CEOs, COOs, and Boards, with comfort operating under close executive oversight
Demonstrated ability to operate independently and take full ownership in environments with limited structure
Familiarity with global financial operations, including contractors and multi-currency considerations
Hands-on experience with tools such as QuickBooks, Brex, Ramp, Carta, and HubSpot (or similar)
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required

Preferred

Experience in the benefits and wellness industry is heavily preferred
MBA, CPA, or equivalent credentials are a plus
