Senior Manufacturing Engineer (NPI)

Sigray, Inc. is a rapidly growing company in the X-ray instrumentation field, seeking a full-time Senior Manufacturing Engineer. The successful candidate will support hands-on NPI builds and help scale complex electro-mechanical systems from prototype into repeatable manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Own hands-on NPI builds and system integration for low-volume builds
Be the liaison between mechanical engineering and manufacturing to support ECRs/ECOs, NCRs, and mechanical design changes
Support transitioning systems from prototype to manufacturing, including Bill of Materials (BOM/MBOM) management and production readiness
Modify and update SolidWorks assemblies to resolve fits, interference, access, and buildability issues
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (assembly drawings, build instructions, schematics, QC checklists, etc.)
Troubleshoot build and production issues, driving practical solutions across engineering and manufacturing teams
Design fixtures and tooling for the production floor to improve build consistency and efficiency
Review labor, material, and production costs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required

Experienced as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in a capital equipment manufacturer and/or contract manufacturing environment
Familiar with mechanical assembly and integration of complex mechanical and electrical systems
Comfortable working with incomplete or evolving engineering documentation and capable of making decisions to keep builds moving forward
Able to help troubleshoot build and hardware issues as they arise
Highly organized and capable of maintaining accurate records for documentation
Willing to learn on the job
BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Experience supporting prototype builds, NPI builds, or manufacturing scale-up of complex equipment
Strong SolidWorks experience is required
Hands-on experience assembling complex mechanical systems, including cable routing, cable assemblies, and harnesses is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills, both data analysis and critical thinking
Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands
Ability to deliver solutions under tight deadlines

Preferred

Experience with working at start-up companies and in fast-paced build environments is preferred
Experience in the scientific equipment manufacturing industry is a plus, but not required
Mill / Lathe skills are a PLUS!
