LCA / LEED Project Manager
GAIA is a high-performance building and sustainability consultancy company specializing in energy-efficient building consulting and modeling. They are seeking a full-time LCA / LEED Project Manager to manage multiple projects, primarily focused on LEED certification and Life Cycle Assessments, while leading client-facing teams and collaborating with cross-functional groups.

Responsibilities
Serve as Project Manager for Green Building Certification and Sustainability projects
Be the company’s embodied carbon & LCA leader conducting whole building LCAs and other embodied carbon calculations
Manage project teams and clients’ goals in support of LEED v4 / v5 efforts, coordination, and certification process to ensure that objectives are met
Work collaboratively with internal project managers, energy modelers, and building commissioning agents to complete required documentation
Research and stay current on green building design and construction methodologies
Qualification
Required
Applicants must reside in the United States and must be authorized to work without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
Experience in the sustainable/high-performance building, architecture, construction, and/or engineering field to manage multiple projects
Prior experience working on a minimum of 20 LEED projects is required
Completion of at least 10 Life Cycle Assessments
Strong knowledge of LEED v4 Design and Construction credits, and familiar with LEED v5
Extensive knowledge of Embodied Carbon Footprints / Life-Cycle Assessments
Understand Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions associated with the construction of various building types and construction products
Experience with ISO standards relevant to LCAs and LCA reports, such as 14040, 14044, 14025, 14046, 14064, and 14067
Experience with EPDs and PEF methodology
Experience with One Click LCA or similar LCA tools
Minimum 3 years of professional experience with LEED and LCA coordination
Knowledge and understanding of construction documents and specifications, including MEP, Civil, Landscape, and Structural
Strong command of sustainable, high-performance building technologies and strategies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Ability to work with a team and manage responsibilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams
Enthusiastic, honest, personable, positive attitude, and punctual
Passion for sustainability
Preferred
LEED Accredited Professional BD+C or ID+C specialty is required
Familiar with CALGreen / Title 24
Involvement with Carbon Leadership Forum or other professional organizations
Familiarity with emerging circularity standards and the application of such standards to LCA
Familiar with ESG / GRESB (et al)
