Responsibilities
Draft and develop detailed electrical drawings: one-lines, schematics, panel schedules, and switchgear/equipment layouts
Use AutoCAD and Revit (latest versions) to create accurate and efficient designs
Produce fast field and conceptual sketches based on engineer input or field data
Assist in light 3D modeling as needed for spatial coordination
Build and manage block libraries to streamline drafting processes and increase efficiency
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet tight deadlines on complex projects
Maintain accuracy and consistency across all drawing packages
Occasionally travel (<15%) to job sites or partner locations for field coordination
Qualification
Required
Proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD and Revit
3+ years of electrical drafting experience in mission critical, industrial, or commercial projects
Strong knowledge of electrical layouts, one-lines, schematics, and panel schedules
Familiarity with equipment and switchgear layouts
Experience building and maintaining CAD block libraries
Ability to work effectively in a high-speed, collaborative environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX
Preferred
Experience working in mission critical environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, or critical infrastructure)
Exposure to BIM coordination or similar workflows
