Responsibilities
Maintain records of organization’s financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
Create reports on financial performance for internal and external use
Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to loan activity, inclusive of certain audit workpapers
Ensures accuracy, validity, and completeness of all documentation necessary to meet organizational, industry, and government regulatory requirements
Participate in and lead cross functional meetings
Prepare and present reports to management
Research technical accounting issues and propose potential alternatives
Advanced knowledge of operational systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years' industry experience
Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
Highly detailed oriented and organized
Proficiency with use of e-mail, Internet, database, process mapping and presentation software
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V-lookups, SUMIF function and data manipulation
Maintains confidentiality and complies with privacy legislation
