Responsibilities

Analyze large datasets related to student achievement, attendance, tutoring session performance, and school site operations
Identify trends and correlations, surface meaningful outliers, and produce clear reports and presentations for internal teams and district partners
Collaborate with program managers, curriculum leads, and leadership to turn data into actionable recommendations
Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations for internal stakeholders and school partners
Create models to assess the impact of tutoring interventions and help forecast student outcomes
Clean, merge, and validate datasets from multiple sources (e.g., school district portals, internal platforms)
Support the development of KPIs and contribute to quarterly and year-end data reviews
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with FERPA and other education-related data privacy standards

Qualification

Required

2–4 years of experience in data analysis, analytics, or a related role, including hands-on work with real-world, messy datasets
Background in teaching, curriculum development, or education program evaluation strongly preferred
Comfortable writing and explaining SQL queries to explore unfamiliar datasets, including joins, aggregations, and filtering — with an emphasis on reasoning through the data rather than memorizing syntax
Familiarity with educational assessment metrics (e.g., MAP scores, iReady, state assessments)
Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related field

Preferred

Knowledge of multi-site education programming and school operations
Experience working with K–12 school districts or education nonprofits
Passion for equity and data-informed decision-making in education
