Responsibilities
Create CAD drawings for engineering projects
Generate and revise project drawings, layouts, and elevation plans
Prepare final sketches of proposed drawings, ensuring accurate dimensions of parts, materials to be used, the relationship of one part to another, and how various parts fit into the overall structure or project
Apply knowledge of process equipment, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and physical sciences to complete drawings
Draft detailed multi-view drawings of processes, including isometric views
Translate sketches into finished designs
Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure drawings meet specifications accurately
Update Drafting and Engineering standards as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Autodesk, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Plant 3D
Advanced 2D and 3D drafting skills, including the ability to create detailed technical drawings and complex models
Strong experience with P&ID drafting and manufacturing-related fieldwork
Strong analytical and visualization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Highly organized
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Must be able to pass a 10-panel controlled substance testing and random testing after that
Must be able to pass a background investigation check and maintain in good standing order, as per TSA's TWIC criteria
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Travel to company sites as needed for project work - fieldwork and drawing verification
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to stand throughout the workday
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs
Must be able to work on elevated surfaces and open grated structures
Must be able to pass a respirator fit test for the use of an SCBA
Work environment frequently changes from office settings to standing, climbing, and working in a plant environment under varying weather and climate conditions
Preferred
Proficiency in Revit is a plus
