Responsibilities
Perform physical setup, teardown, and relocation of end‑user desk and workstation equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, peripherals)
Coordinate and execute employee desk moves, office relocations, and department reconfigurations
Set up new hire workstations and ensure all equipment is functional and aligned with IT standards
Assemble and cable workstation hardware with clean, organized cable routing
Troubleshoot basic hardware, connectivity, and peripheral issues during moves and deployments
Maintain accuracy of IT inventory by documenting asset assignments, moves, and returns
Collaborate with IT teams, Facilities, and business partners to schedule and execute moves with minimal business disruption
Decommission and prepare hardware for reuse, storage, or proper disposal following IT policies
Ensure adherence to IT security, safety guidelines, and company operational standards
Provide clear communication and excellent customer service to employees throughout move and setup activities
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience in IT desktop support, hardware deployment, or field services
Hands‑on experience setting up and moving computer workstations and peripherals
Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS
Familiarity with enterprise hardware (e.g., Lenovo systems, docking stations, monitors)
Ability to lift/move computer equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (movement between local office buildings required)
Preferred
Experience supporting office moves or large‑scale hardware refresh projects
Knowledge of ergonomic workstation setup and cable management best practices
CompTIA A+ or similar certification
