Start in 2026 SummerWilliams-Sonoma, Inc. is a global, multi-channel retailer of home furnishings and housewares, seeking a legal intern for the Summer of 2026. The intern will assist in various legal matters including corporate, intellectual property, marketing, and regulatory issues while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
Draft and organize basic corporate documents and correspondence
Maintain files and records
Research offensive and defensive intellectual property claims and work with attorney and paralegal on appropriate strategies
Participate in product design review and clearance
Assist in commercial contract review
Assist in document collection and production in litigation
Assist in filing and renewal of trademark, copyright and patent applications
Prepare marketing and e-commerce guidance for the company’s brands
Research and prepare global privacy guidance
Assist attorneys in the department in other legal matters, including product safety and employment matters
Qualification
Required
Ability to work onsite in our San Francisco corporate office (8-10 week program)
Strong academic credentials – completing first year of law school, 1L's
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Superior organization skills and high attention to detail
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
