Responsibilities
Develop new product manufacturing process at suppliers, utilizing your technical expertise to guide the development process according to internal specifications and industry standards
Disposition manufacturing deviations and non-conformances with the consideration of impact on cost, functionality, performance and durability
Conduct dimensional evaluations, tolerance stack, fits and clearance analysis, and other engineering related tasks
Provide technical expertise in the field of gas turbine manufacturing and production support to internal and external suppliers
Evaluate manufacturing processes and methods for appropriate implementation of technical requirements
Ensure new components follow the principles of design for manufacturing, draft and revise product definition as well as design for manufacturing philosophies
Qualification
Required
B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience with aerospace or industrial gas turbines design or manufacturing
In-depth understanding of turbine components and their functionality, principles of tolerance and stack up analysis, and other design considerations affecting assembly and operation of components
Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, Lotus Notes, or other quality data management software
Experience with manufacturing processes utilized in gas turbines such as investment casting, conventional and non-conventional machining
Experience with disposition of non-conforming gas turbine or other hardware operating in high temperature environment
Highly motivated individual acting as a role model in motivating others, adhering to safety guidelines, and performing assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
