Responsibilities
Assist with a variety of tasks supporting the ImplementatioN Science and Team Effectiveness in Practice (IN STEP) Children’s Mental Health Research Center and linked projects
Work closely with the coordinators and investigative teams at the collaborating university and community sites to ensure consistency of processes and procedures
Support the essential infrastructure for the community engagement and trial activities of the Center
Support all IRB management through the University of California’s IRB Reliance agreement and online system
Support implementation of the detailed protocol for risk assessment used for Data Safety and Monitoring
Coordinate with the investigatory teams of the Center Projects to facilitate recruitment of community organizations and co-lead community engagement activities
Maintain the Center website and develop content for social media platforms (twitter, YouTube, etc.)
Provide administrative and technical support for Center webinar series
Support the evaluation of individual Center projects and overall impact, including preparation, administration, and management of web-based surveys, and collection and data entry of altmetric scores, website, and social media platform analytics
General project tasks including but not limited to preparing meeting minutes, attending research and community partner meetings, literature searches, data entry, web-based survey development and distribution, report and manuscript preparation
Qualification
Required
Six years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus two years of related experience/training
Working knowledge of safety, legal, cultural and regulatory requirements relative to field research responsibility
Working knowledge of research discipline, principles, concepts, analysis and / or operations being conducted at field / remote sites
Working knowledge of local customs and operations at field / remote sites
Demonstrates ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with remote research partners
Demonstrates ability to work with a team, and to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Demonstrates attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrates ability to work in ambiguous conditions
Proficient research and analytical skills
Demonstrated communication skills with project team members
Previous experience in a research setting involving human subjects, specifically individuals with mental health conditions, caregivers of individuals with mental health conditions, and/or health care providers
Comfortable working in a community setting and interacting with community partners, providers, children, and caregivers
Proven experience in processing research data for mental health implementation research, in keeping with IRB and HIPAA approved methods of security and storage; proven ability to score and double score standardized assessments
Understanding of computer and technological software such as word processing and data entry, experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, various software programs and video uploading. Experience with video-conferencing platforms
Proven effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Proven ability to maintain and protect confidentiality of participant information
Proven ability to prioritize workload and work independently
Demonstrated experience working closely with coordinators, investigative teams, and data managers, support the evaluation of individual Center projects and overall impact which includes (though is not limited to) the preparation, administration, and management of web-based surveys, as well as the collection and data entry of altmetric scores, website, and social media platform (Twitter, Youtube) analytics
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with childhood mental health. Proven knowledge of evidence-based treatments. Proven knowledge of psychological and mental health terms. Proven knowledge of implementation science terms. Proven knowledge of team effectiveness research terms
Preferred
Theoretical knowledge in Psychology, Public Health, or related field; two years of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences and one year of laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
Spanish/English bilingual
Previous experience coordinating study activities including participating recruitment, data collection, scheduling trainings/workshops and database management
