This role involves overseeing accounts payable, managing expense reimbursements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while providing project accounting support across the organization.

Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, posting, and payments
Manage employee expense reimbursements and corporate card reconciliations
Resolve vendor and subcontractor discrepancies independently
Secure and maintain vendor W-9 forms as required by statute
Perform project setup and maintenance within the accounting system
Ensure accurate posting of project costs and revenues
Support project managers with accounting-related inquiries
Maintain accurate and compliant project financial records
Ensure accounting activities comply with FAR Cost Principles and company policies
Support audits, tax filings, and internal financial reporting
Prepare and process annual 1099 filings
Maintain subcontractor and vendor compliance documentation
Assist with union payroll and timecard review processes
Participate in ad hoc accounting analyses and process improvements
Collaborate with Accounting, Business Development, and Project Teams
Qualification
Required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, OR equivalent experience
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong familiarity with FAR Cost Principles and Procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Preferred
AEC industry and project accounting experience strongly preferred
Advanced Excel skills preferred
Experience with Deltek Ajera highly desirable
