Responsibilities
Performs inventory functions of laboratory which includes ordering weekly supplies and organizing them as appropriate
Responsible for cleaning and preparation of surgical pathology area and morgue, specimen pick-up from operation room and specimen discard per policies
Required to assist with autopsy under the direction of the pathologist, and for other morgue or laboratory functions as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to understand and follow specific clinical protocol, specifications, and procedures
Passing score on data entry test and medical terminology test required
High school education or the equivalent required
No previous experience required. On-the-job training is provided
