InternChicago Transit Authority is the second largest transit system in the country! They are seeking a Transportation Planning Analytics Intern who will work on modernizing data analysis tools and applications, developing Power BI reports, and documenting procedures within the Planning SharePoint website.

Responsibilities
Modernize existing data analysis tools and applications including migrating them to Microsoft Power BI and web applications
Develop Power BI reports, Python-based web applications, and easy-to-use summary tables in the database
Document existing and new procedures in the Planning SharePoint website
Create a well-documented code repository to improve development and maintenance
Qualification
Required
Full-time enrollment status in a degree program at an accredited college or university
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficient organizational skills with attention to detail
Good project management skills
Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Python, R or other applicable languages
Able to use Geographic Information Systems (or other spatial experience)
Data visualization using Microsoft Power BI (or similar software)
Preferred
Preferred Major(s): Urban and Transportation Planning, Civil and Transportation Engineering, Urban Policy, Political Science, Computer Science
Preferred Level of Education: College senior and above
