Mid LevelGAP Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Genomics Support Scientist to provide services in support of the Office of Chief Scientist - Integrated Research Facility within the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The role involves providing genomics support for virology research, including DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, and data analysis, while also assisting with laboratory inventory management and documentation.

Responsibilities
Provide genomics support research services to support virology research, such as specialized technical skills focused on DNA/RNA extraction, purification, and analysis
Perform work with sequencing equipment and data analysis
Responsible for performing experimental tasks both within the biocontainment facility and in BSL-2 research laboratories
Maintain an accurate inventory of specimens, reagents, and supplies, and will also be responsible for laboratory inventory management, submitting purchase requests, managing laboratory resources and maintaining appropriate laboratory research documentation (notebooks)
Execute genomics and sequencing research as directed
Perform work on operating sequencing equipment including Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms
Perform work on genomics data analysis; bioinformatics
Maintain proper research documentation and data management
Maintain laboratory reagent and material inventories
Submit purchase requests
Assist with manuscript and report writing as requested
