Press Operator (1st Shift)

The Press Operator supports manufacturing operations by operating molding presses, inspecting product quality, and maintaining safety and efficiency throughout the production process.

Responsibilities
Operation of presses assigned by the production schedule or Molding Foreman
Loading and unloading of material and product from the tool
Understand (English or Spanish) and follow the router instructions and sign off
Maintain production rates and efficiencies consistent with the company goals and requirements
Visual In-process inspection to verify product and sign off
Maintain proper part identification and traceability
Suggest process and manufacturing improvements when and if insufficiencies exist on Opportunity For Improvements (OFI) Forms
Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook or directed by the Molding Foreman
Conduct monthly expired material audit. (If identified)
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualification
Required
High School Graduate or GED equivalent
0-1+ years working as an operator in a molded manufacturing oriented environment
Attention to detail
Working knowledge of different presses, safety equipment and applicable tools
Able to lift 70 lbs
Understand (English or Spanish) and follow the router instructions and sign off
Maintain production rates and efficiencies consistent with the company goals and requirements
