Payor Relations Manager

Responsibilities

Manage relationships with assigned commercial and Medicaid payors
Communicate regularly with payor case managers regarding referrals, authorizations, and active cases
Support referral growth by helping cases move efficiently through authorization and staffing
Lead routine meetings with payor representatives to review services, referrals, and performance
Prepare and share basic reports related to census, referrals, and payor activity
Partner with internal teams to resolve payor-related issues, delays, or escalations
Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management on billing or authorization concerns
Maintain accurate payor contact information and referral workflows
Participate in regional planning and collaboration meetings
Stay informed on payor requirements and state regulations
Travel up to 25% as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with healthcare payors (commercial and/or Medicaid MCOs)
Experience with authorizations, referrals, or payor-facing workflows
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to organize information, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred

Experience in ABA or behavioral health
