Information Technology Support Technician
The Ash Group is hiring an Information Technology Support Technician for our client, a high-tech aerospace and defense contractor delivering complex technology solutions for national security and space exploration. This role involves providing standard desktop support, troubleshooting, and hardware integration in a mission-critical office environment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the setup, configuration, repair, and "break/fix" support of computing hardware, software, and peripherals
Provide basic network support to ensure desktop and peripheral connectivity across the local site
Handle "Moves, Adds, and Changes" (MAC) for hardware and software systems to support organizational shifts
Perform preventative maintenance and setup for audio-visual (AV) conferencing systems and conference room technology
Resolve IT incidents and service requests received via the IT Service Desk system, phone calls, and employee "walk-ups."
Manage the lifecycle of IT tickets: enter, prioritize, track, and close requests, or escalate to Upper Tier IT teams when necessary
Assist with the creation and maintenance of local IT systems documentation and site-specific procedures
Qualification
Required
2+ years of relevant experience in desktop support or IT hardware/software troubleshooting
Basic understanding of current IT standards for computers, printers, network technology, drivers, and software troubleshooting
Comprehensive ability to diagnose and resolve issues with industry-standard hardware and software products
Associate's Degree in a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education)
