Air Force Civilian Service is seeking a full-time Supervisory Acquisition Program Management Specialist to work in the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate. The primary purpose of this role is to serve as Deputy Division Chief, overseeing functions related to ICBM technologies and leading the workforce to ensure successful program execution.

Responsibilities

As the ICBM Futures Deputy Division Chief, oversees and supervises multiple Branch Chiefs (NH-04s) while serving as a Second Line Supervisor
Oversees multiple aspects of the project teams to include product support, deployment, security, information technology, infrastructure, digital acquisition and engineering, software, test, product systems, and risk management
Focuses on all aspects of the technology life cycle but primarily the development of transition-ready technologies to improve and modernize ICBM weapon systems
Oversees civilian and military personnel assignments and actions for the Division
Spearheads funds reviews while executing obligation and expenditure goals; builds and maintains budgets, schedules, and performance standards for the team
Oversees and leads various senior level working groups and teams ensuring the integration of all program participants to solve critical program issues and concerns
Assists in setting the strategy to meet PEO’s expectations and regularly communicates program status
Serves as a senior mentor while helping train the workforce. Promotes the professional development of the entire Division and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement
Oversees and supports digital acquisition and engineering concept planning; design and development; and integration, testing and verification at the system, element, or component level
Continually engages with an extended and geographically dispersed team including subject matter experts from across the ICBM Systems Directorate, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Missile Defense Agency, Navy SSP, Department of War and Department of Energy Labs, and others to ensure the program’s acquisition strategy and activities are successfully planned, coordinated, and executed

Required

Minimum of eight (8) or more years of progressively complex acquisition experience, with at least 4 years in a program office or similar organization
Capability to manage the maturation of technology and early development items against a technology roadmap
Experience in planning, organizing, and directing the functions and staff in critical aspects of development, support of systems, subsystems or equipment and coordinating various aspects of systems acquisitions such as engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, and test
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and reach technically informed decisions or recommendations to senior leaders
Strong communication, leadership skills, coalition building, strategic/innovative thinking and second level supervision at the NH-04 level
U.S. CITIZENSHIP
Employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
Selectee must execute, as a condition of employment, a written agreement to remain in federal service in this position for at least three years
In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually
