Development Project Manager

Allied Companies is an experienced infrastructure development firm with a focus on residential projects. They are seeking a Development Project Manager to oversee the execution of horizontal site development for a 200-lot residential project, coordinating various stakeholders and ensuring project delivery.

Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of horizontal site development from permitting through final lot delivery
Coordinate civil contractors, utility companies, and engineering consultants
Navigate York County permitting, inspections, and approval process
Develop and maintain detailed project schedule with critical path
Monitor project budget, process invoices, track variances
Prepare weekly progress reports for Allied and investor group
Coordinate lot deliveries and builder transitions
Resolve field issues, manage RFIs and change orders
Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence

Required

5-8 years experience in horizontal site development or civil construction
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related
Direct experience with roads, utilities, grading, and subdivision development
Proven track record managing projects in the $5-15M range
Strong understanding of permitting, inspections, and utility coordination
Proficiency with project management software and scheduling tools
Excellent communication skills for contractor and stakeholder management
Valid driver's license and willingness for daily site visits

Preferred

Experience in North/South Carolina (permitting and utility familiarity)
Relationships with York County inspectors and permitting officials
PE license (Professional Engineer)
Experience working with multiple builder offtake partners
Background with regional or national home developers

Benefits
