Responsibilities
Serve as the DRI for partnerships with the Growth team, working cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and local country directors to define and execute market-specific partnership strategies
Source, evaluate, and negotiate high-impact partnerships across payments, fintech, consumer tech, and crypto-native platforms to drive adoption of Coinbase’s Retail products
Manage top corporate partnerships with a multi-product group footprint (i.e., Consumer & Business, Developer, Base, etc.)
Act as a thought partner to product teams by bringing market intelligence, competitive insight, and partner feedback into product roadmaps
Lead complex deal negotiations from first pitch through execution, balancing speed, creativity, and risk management
Track, measure, and communicate the business impact of partnerships, owning the full lifecycle from sourcing through to integration and ongoing performance
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or partnerships roles, ideally in fintech, payments, consumer tech, or crypto
Strong understanding of financial infrastructure, trading, and consumer fintech
Proven ability to lead high-stakes deals end-to-end—sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing—while collaborating across functions
Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action: you're energized by ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Highly structured communicator and strategic thinker, able to synthesize complexity and influence executive stakeholders internally and externally
Deep empathy for the end user and a knack for identifying product-market fit in diverse markets with different consumer behaviors
Comfortable toggling between strategic priorities and tactical execution, with a strong sense of ownership over outcomes
Passion for crypto and Coinbase's mission, coupled with the intellectual curiosity to learn new products, use cases, and technologies as the industry evolves

Experience taking a business from 0 to 1, and then scaling to growth
Management consulting or investment banking background
