Responsibilities
Perform and automate software deployments using CI/CD pipelines
Implement and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Improve application and system performance, reliability, and scalability
Proactively identify and resolve operational issues before they impact users
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams
Participate in and occasionally lead maintenance and innovation projects
Support the team's on-call rotation
Document progress and communicate delays or roadblocks to leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of hands-on AWS experience
5+ years as a Linux Systems Administrator or Engineer
5+ years interfacing with development and/or operational teams
Experience with AI-assisted development practices
Broad experience with AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, and databases
Strong Linux systems administration skills
Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform and CloudFormation
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (ECS Fargate, EKS)
Understanding of Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions (CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar)
Strong communication and documentation abilities
Self-directed with ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively
Service-oriented mindset with focus on enabling development teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
