Responsibilities
Prepares and manipulate structured and unstructured data for data discovery and mining from multiple disparate resources
Creates informative visualizations that intuitively display large amounts of data and/or complex relationships; translates data analytics into coherent reports and presentations for internal and external customer with varying degrees of technical knowledge
Routinely uses anonymized or encrypted data
Prototypes solutions using varied resources, including both commercial and open-source software
Qualification
Required
Master's degree (or equivalent training/relevant experience) in fields that include strong coverage of applied mathematics and statistics, computer science, engineering, or related fields
5+ years' experience working as a Data Scientist, preferably in a healthcare environment
Experience using R or Python to program machine learning models
Knowledge of deploying models and reports into cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Ability to visualize data and model results utilizing a modern BI tool (Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of machine learning modeling techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, and NLP) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
