Art of Problem Solving is looking for an Upper-Level Math Instructor to join their Virtual Campus team. This part-time position involves teaching middle and high school students in an engaging virtual classroom environment, focusing on problem-solving skills rather than rote memorization.

Responsibilities

Teach enthusiastic middle and high school students in our online classrooms
Use our curriculum to teach participation-oriented classes that focus on instruction and developing skills, not on rote memorization
Work in small classes (average size 12) with top performing students who are passionate about learning and are motivated to succeed

Required

A bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required
Must have some experience teaching or tutoring students at the middle to high school level
Have experience competing in or teaching/tutoring students for middle and high school math contests such as: AMC, AIME, MATHCOUNTS, USA(J)MO, IMO
Prefer student-led instruction, discussions, and allowing students to do the heavy lifting
Foster an engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem solving
Are comfortable teaching in a live virtual classroom environment using software such as Zoom

Preferred

A master's degree or higher in a STEM field is preferred
Strongly preferred: Experience with middle and high school math contests such as: AMC, AIME, MATHCOUNTS, USA(J)MO, IMO, etc
