Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent combination of experience and training
Experience in undergraduate or graduate development, including advising and curriculum matters
Project management experience with the ability to take complex, high impact projects from conception to fruition in a timely and effective manner
Strategic planning, program evaluation and change management experience to provide sound recommendations and examine work processes and organizational structures for development or revision to accommodate shifting requirements and opportunities
Experience with academic policies, procedures, and requirements in a higher education setting and providing advice to deans, other campus leadership, and faculty on existing policies and/or regulations and innovative ideas for improvements
Strong leadership, management, analytical, and planning skills to assess, manage and communicate best practices related to programs and services supporting student recruitment and retention
Knowledge of the education school curriculum, the competitive environment for a diverse pool of qualified admits, and the employment market for students with credentials and degrees in the field of education
Skills to effectively interact with constituencies from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives and to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff work teams, other units of the campus, and outside organizations
Preferred
Minimum of three years of supervisory experience at a large, complex higher educational institution which includes undergraduate and graduate programs
Experience with promoting and recruiting for new undergraduate programs
Knowledge of the UC academic community
Knowledge of the overall organization and administrative operations of the campus, campus resources and services, and campus-wide offices and administrative staff contacts
Team building skills demonstrated through past performance to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, resolve problems/conflicts, conduct performance management, and build a productive service-oriented, team environment
