Responsibilities
Design plumbing systems for multi-family residential or commercial buildings
Consult with owners and general contractors
Serve as a technical leader in plumbing design
Mentor team members for long-term growth
Execute diverse and sophisticated projects while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and innovation
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 7 years of experience designing plumbing systems for multi-family residential or commercial buildings
Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing
High proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is required
Capable of performing engineering and/or design work without supervision
Experienced with the latest release of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline
Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and simple isometric drawings
Capable of designing domestic water calculations and multi-system riser diagrams
Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings
Able to design layouts, details, and overall system design for typical, discipline-specific systems
Able to perform field observations and reports
Able to work with numerous project teams to assist with project completion
Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices
Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale
Performs other duties as may be assigned
Preferred
Los Angeles or California experience
B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field
Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or equivalent
California EIT or PE Registration
