Responsibilities
Design warehouse and material handling solutions for large-scale, complex projects
Produce CAD drawings and Bills of Material (BOM) for customer approval and execution
Review structural calculations and ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards
Build estimates, pricing models, and margin analyses to support sales efforts
Communicate directly with customers to clarify scope, layouts, and technical requirements
Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, specifications, and final pricing
Track and document changes to design, scope, and pricing throughout the project lifecycle
Partner with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to drive successful execution
Prepare final order packages including CAD drawings, BOMs, vendor quotes, and engineering documentation
Provide leadership with visibility into project status, risks, and priorities
Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting critical milestones
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Design, or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience designing and estimating warehouse, racking, or material handling solutions
Strong understanding of structural design principles and load calculations
Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Pallet racking, shelving, mezzanines, and warehouse layout design
Familiarity with RMI, IBC, and OSHA standards
