Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate all shift activities, including supervisor handoffs, production priorities, and team alignment
Maintain clear, consistent communication to ensure smooth transitions and accurate execution of plans
Develop and manage daily/weekly production plans to meet output targets
Monitor workflow, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain accurate production performance reporting
Coach, train, and provide performance feedback to team members, ensuring adherence to standard work
Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative work environment
Audit production processes and manage non-conforming products
Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions
Champion a safety-first culture through policy enforcement, audits, and 5S practices
Ensure accountability for hazard identification and corrective actions
Partner with Engineering to identify and implement process improvements that eliminate waste and enhance efficiency
Track and report KPIs and lead initiatives aligned with organizational goals
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in a traditional manufacturing or machine shop environment
2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
Strong understanding of production processes, safety regulations, and quality control
Proficiency with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to plan, organize, and analyze production data
Experience auditing processes for compliance
Demonstrated success driving performance against safety, quality, and delivery goals
Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)
