Vice President / Senior Director of Human Resources
Hemans is a fast-scaling technology company seeking a Senior HR Leader at the VP or Senior Director level. This role involves shaping people strategy, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and building scalable HR infrastructure to support the company's growth.
Responsibilities
Design and execute HR strategies aligned to business goals, with a focus on talent development, retention, and engagement
Partner with senior leadership on job architecture, workforce planning, and career frameworks
Own and evolve a unified talent strategy supporting hiring, headcount planning, and organizational scale
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organizational and people-related decisions
Coach leaders on performance management, talent planning, learning & development, and compensation
Assess organizational health and capability, identifying gaps and driving practical solutions
Guide leaders on org design and structure to improve efficiency and outcomes
Oversee employee relations and serve as an escalation point for managers and employees
Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to ensure strong execution across initiatives
Drive cross-functional projects that enhance HR programs and company-wide capabilities
Champion a culture centered on ownership, servant leadership, and long-term value creation
Embed cultural expectations into leadership development, performance management, and org design
Measure cultural health using qualitative and quantitative insights, proactively addressing risks and opportunities
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
Prior leadership experience in a high-growth and/or PE-backed company
Broad HR expertise including workforce planning, job architecture, total rewards, HR operations, and HRBP models
Proven success scaling HR functions and building enterprise-ready people systems
M&A and/or international experience is a plus
Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
Strong executive presence with the ability to partner credibly with C-level leaders
Balances short-term problem-solving with long-term people strategy
Excellent communicator and coach, capable of influencing at all levels
Experienced in transitioning organizations from entrepreneurial/start-up environments to scalable, structured operations
Preferred
Advanced degree or professional certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
