HR Site Partner

Responsibilities
Maintain a high level of leadership and guidance to the facility by providing consultation to supervisors and the Operations Manager on employee issues
Responsible for safety orientation for new hires
Conduct incident/accident investigations as needed in regard to violations of company policy
Responsible for full cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions for the location
Responsible for ensuring hourly payroll records are input and processed accurately in coordination with the payroll specialist
Responsible for new hire and benefit orientation for all staff. Support new hires with inputting beneficiary information as needed
Promote and develop positive employee relations by providing direct support to all employees
Manage onboarding and offboarding of all hourly and salaried staff
Responsible for all affirmative action tracking and reporting for the location
Under the direction of the VP Human Resources, assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the location
Coordinate with the leave carrier to assist employees with filing for state and federal protective leave laws
Partner with the HR and Safety team on local initiatives
Responsible for compliance of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Assist with the business unit’s safety program to include workers’ compensation claims, safety committee, training, safety audits, and other as needed
Perform additional duties as required by supervisor
On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Strong conflict management skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
High level of personal integrity and ethical and professional standards
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in human resources, safety, business, or a related field. Equivalent experience accepted
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruitment, diversity outreach, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
Minimum two years' prior experience in Human Resources or payroll
Individuals must be willing to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Preferred
Previous safety experience preferred
OSHA 10 preferred or required within the first six months
