Client Staff Services Coordinator

Community Clinic of Maui, Inc. is seeking a Client Staff Services Coordinator to support departmental activities related to provider credentialing and privileging. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure quality and safety in provider services.

Responsibilities

Coordinates with Human Resources for accurate, time sensitive communication among provider candidates and Administrative Service Coordinator
Conducts, participates in, and maintains credentialing and privileging
Conducts, participates in, and maintains primary source verification
Manages the credentialing or privileging process
Manages and complies with HRSA and regulatory standards
Executes Credentialing and Privileging for New Providers and Re- credentialing and re-privileging for existing providers including; Medical Providers including MDs, DOs, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Staff psychologists (PhD, PsyD), Registered Dietitian, License Clinical Social Workers, Certified Substance Abuse Counselors, Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Community Heath Workers
Prepares, monitors, and maintains all detailed documents required in the credentialing process in database and credential files
Verifies education, residency, licensing, and references
Prepares and submits verification of credentials to the Administrative Service Coordinator
Tracks and monitors ongoing CMEs
Assists all Clinic providers with initial and renewal applications for hospital privileges and coordinates with Medical Staff Services at the hospital
Coordinates with the Executive Assistant to the CEO for provider licensing and certifications required by the clinic and the hospital

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of one year's experience in a similar confidential work environment preferably in the medical field
Must demonstrate below competencies: Communication – Excellent ability to communicate with all employees and leaders within the organization
Mindfulness – Self-awareness and humility demonstrating a sense of strengths and limitations, and the ability to accept responsibility. Ability to focus on work assignments and when distracted, ability to promptly return to the task at hand to meet assignment due dates and requirements
Ethical practice – Excellent ability to conduct oneself in a highly ethical manner with a strong ethical sense and conviction to do what is right
Global and Cultural Awareness – Ability to work with and create cohesiveness among and between all peoples. Demonstrated awareness and commitment to trauma informed care
Administrative Expertise – mastery of word processing and data entry, electronic scheduling and shared-document software, typing by touch at least 35 wpm accurately. Ability to work self-directed and keep Administrative Service Coordinator informed about status of assignments, inquiries, and requests received
Relationship Management – Excellent ability to work alongside others in partnership and teamwork in a way that honors and values others
Negative TB clearance within previous 12 months

Preferred

Previous work experience supporting an executive for a non-profit and/or in health care preferred but not required
