Responsibilities
Perform FPGA software design
Design digital signal processing, messaging, control, and high-speed communications
Interface and collaborate with program leadership and teammates on a regular basis
Estimate, break down and plan work for their software
Take a high DSP algorithm for a radar system and break it into small pieces
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering
Embedded processor architecture, such as ARM processors within AMD(Xilinx) and/or Intel(Altera) FPGA devices and their associated application environments
Strong working knowledge of C/C++
Possess technical expertise to implement designs with only minor direction
Experience with Linux environments
Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity applied to FPGA embedded processor designs
Working knowledge of Matlab
Must be a US Citizen
This position will require a government security clearance
This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Preferred
Working knowledge of digital signal processing functions
Extensive FPGA software programming capability, and having applied that knowledge on an FPGA device (AMD, Altera). Having utilized AMD Vivado, Altera Quartus, development platforms to successfully build and test an executable implementation of code which they have written
Mathworks Simulink knowledge is a plus
Experience with the PetaLinux operating system on SoC FPGA devices
The candidate should possess excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
