The role involves troubleshooting and improving plant process systems while collaborating with various teams to meet production needs and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
Maintain documentation such as production logs, SOPs, quality documents, P&IDs, PHAs
Work with maintenance to resolve mechanical problems
Manage compliance such as PPE, safety practices, complete safety interventions
Conceptualize and implement projects to improve safety, reduce cycle time or downtime, reduce waste and variability
Lead PHAs, DMAIC projects, PDCA projects, kaizen events
Evaluate the performance of the reactors, analyze process data, and lead root-cause investigations
Interact with internal and external customers to resolve complaints and participate in audits
Provide chemical engineering expertise to the plant, including maintenance, EHS, and emergency response
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with an expected graduation date between Winter 2025 and Spring 2026
0 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
Preferred
Experience in Coatings and Resins production
Familiarity with Process Safety Management
Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools/six sigma tools
