Responsibilities
Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information
Reviews and updates monthly financials entries to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts
Prepares and enters month end closing entries
Completes month end reconciliations
Prepares monthly profit and loss statements
Prepares and participates in annual audit processes
Registers for state tax accounts and maintains legal documentation
Assists HR with state payroll tax accounts
Prepares year end tax preparation
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information
Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
Proficient in NetSuite
Salesforce CRM experience
Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required
CPA certification or in progress
At least two years of related experience required, including audit prep work
