Responsibilities
Lead by example by modeling safe behaviors and reinforcing a strong safety culture; ensure all associates comply with established safety programs and procedures
Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
Drive productivity, quality, and performance driven metrics through effective leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Plan and optimize labor utilization to maximize efficiency while meeting operational and performance goals
Ensure inventory accuracy and quality, maintaining levels aligned with business unit requirements
Establish work procedures, develop schedules, and coordinate workflow to meet operational demands
Assign responsibilities and evaluate work to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to policies and procedures
Train, coach, and motivate employees to improve performance, engagement, and professional development
Effectively manage multiple functional responsibilities (Safety, Inventory, and Shipping) while maintaining full ownership of shipping operations
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment and maintain positive employee relations
Promote a respectful workplace and maintain harmony among team members
Protect company assets by ensuring proper building security and safeguarding property
Demonstrate initiative as a self-starter with a strong desire to learn, grow, and take on increased responsibility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a distribution or related field
5 to 7 years plus of experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment with 3-5 years of prior management experience
Qualified to train and certify forklift and other material handling equipment operators
Ability to learn statistical analysis to develop measurable warehouse metrics
Working knowledge of RF receiving, replenishment procedures
Preferred
MS Word and Excel experience strongly preferred
SAP experience a plus
