Revit Technician

As a Revit Technician, you will be responsible for producing accurate working drawings to facilitate the design, installation, and coordination of mechanical systems, while supporting the design process of the virtual construction department.

Responsibilities
Use knowledge of Revit software to assist in Building Information Modeling
Perform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices, and techniques
Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, and learn how to use all software options
Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings
Apply judgment and make decisions with respect to drawings and input interpretation
Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from supervisor, and other project team members
Work with multiple trade draftsmen both internal and external to resolve spatial conflicts
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalency required
Proficiency with Revit software
Basic understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
Basic understanding of mechanical construction principles and processes
Proficiency in the use of computer aided drafting software: Basic Revit, Navisworks Simulate / Manage, Basic AutoCAD Skills
Analytical skills
Ability to adapt to changing technology / computer systems, software, etc
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
Mathematical skills
Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings
Perform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices, and techniques
Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, and learn how to use all software options
Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings

Travel to remote jobsite for meetings, trouble-shooting and/or constructability review is required
May be required to be on-site for several months during the detailing/coordination phase of a project
Preferred
Associates Degree in Engineering or Drafting Technology helpful
Proficiency with AutoCAD software preferred
Knowledge of Navisworks preferred
Understanding of layout of HVAC / piping / plumbing
Understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, Pipefitting, Plumbing) preferred
Bluebeam Revu helpful but not required
